Our “little” girl is turning ONE on Saturday!!
I’m sure last year at this time we were able to get a lot more done, we had a lot more room in the bed, and we didn’t have to vacuum every other day, but the amount of love that Emmy brings to our home is more than worth it. She’s sweet, sassy, and silly. There were moments this past year when she drove us nuts, but she keeps us laughing and melts our hearts.
In honor of Emmy’s birthday month, I decided to make her a special Puppy Burrito Bowl! Her father LOVES Chipotle almost as much as he loves Emmy. When he lived in New Jersey, he had Chipotle at least twice a week, but usually three times a week. Now I pack his lunches most days, but he still gets Chipotle once a week. I can’t blame him, because Chipotle is obviously delicious.
Turns out, Emmy loves burrito bowls, too! I pulled out some plain chicken and rice that I had stuck in the freezer for her after making a big batch one time, and while it was thawing in the microwave, she kept trying to jump up and lick the microwave! It was a serious struggle trying to take pictures of this before she inhaled it.
We don’t give her human food very often, but every once and awhile I like to make her something special. This dog-friendly burrito bowl has plain boiled chicken and brown rice, some carrots, a little bit of lettuce, and a dollop of Greek yogurt. If you would like to make your pup a special meal soon, Emmy highly recommends this one!
Just like her daddy, her least favorite part was the vegetables.
